A fee for arranging your insurance, together we a fee for any mid-term changes to your policy may be charged. This will be outlined in your quotation. You will receive a quotation which will tell you about any other fees relating to any particular insurance policy.

How do I make a claim?
Contact The Guest House Insurer on 01474 355322 between the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

What if I change my mind and want to cancel my policy?
You have the right to a 14 day cooling off period and must notify The Guest House Insurer within that period of your decision. Should you wish to cancel the policy after 14 days, this request should be given in writing and the return premium will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, but there may be handling charges applicable. Please contact The Guest House Insurer for details of charges applied by Insurers.

What do you do if you have a complaint?

If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Services.

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?
No, but all of the insurance companies we place your business with are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.
Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit. Further information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS.
